SUSI2 CCD Pulpo Monitoring

This is the current procedure to monitor vacuum and temperature of SUSI2 CCD Dewar:

• Computer monitoring:

On a unix window of a ntt workstation:
xhost wemcs
rlogin wemcs -l fcdrun
setenv DISPLAY xx:0.0
fcdstartpulpo
A monitoring window appears : click rightmost button on parmeters
you want to monitor and release it on continue logging.

Closing the panel during observations is a safe policy.
However, there is another workaround: If the Pulpo panel is configured not
to do continuous logging of temps. and vacuum, there should be no
interference. In this case, you should do a manual update each time you
want to read the latest value of a parameter. This is easily accomplished
using the right button of the mouse over the corresponding value field
which display a pop-up menu where you can choose the logging method: "get
value" for one manual read, "stop logging" to stop the continuous logging
and "continue logging" to enable the continuous mode.

  Of course you should avoid doing a manual update when a SUSI2 exposure is
  running...
 
 

• Direct monitoring:

rotate Rotator carefully until Pulpo LCD window is easily visible.
click up or down arrow until the desired parameter is displayed.
