The CCD linearity tests follow the hereunder procedure:
- mount beta lights in red, blue or susi filter wheels
- Update filter column of EMMI or SUSI configuration panel.
- Make sure nasmyth shutter is closed.
- Switch off telescope floor lights.
- make sure MIDAS PCO is running.
- Start one of the obd's
/insroot/SYSTEM/COMMON/TEMPLATES/OBD/BlueLin.obd,
/insroot/SYSTEM/COMMON/TEMPLATES/OBD/RedLin.obd or
/insroot/SYSTEM/COMMON/TEMPLATES/OBD/susiLin.obd
no parameter is needed.
At the end of the test, MIDAS-PCO will print several pages of text and graphic results.
Archive thein the CCD TESTS binder and check their consistency with the previous ones.- Operation lasts between 25 ( Susi) and 210 minutes ( Emmi).
- In the case of EMMI , 6 modes are tested ( 2 binning x 3 speeds ) and 4 sets of results are produced per mode.
- The transfer and reduction of test results may be performed
- Do not forget to dismount the Beta light and update the configuration panel.
- In case of bad results, inconsistency or any doubt inform CCDScientist of NTT Team and ODT
