Daily Operations

Check List Description :

• Check the red box in the hotel entrance for Setup Form Request.
• Arriving to the telescope, check whether a calibration exposure is in progress.
• Put SOFI in DARK mode if necessary.
• Check SOFI parameters.
• Check twister counter : untwist if |twist| > 5
• Check Remedy Night Report and Nightly log.
• Check temperature, vacuum and refill CCD Dewars (EMMI and SUSI2).
• Check the Calibration Request Book and execute the Calibrations requested by the Observer
• Execute the daily data backup.
• Stop fitslist
• When taking up turno read news and recovery
• Execute ws_cleanup reporting results in the Log Data Saving binder.
• Execute the disk monitoring and cleaning procedure.
• Every Monday change the hygrometer paper sheet.
• Setup the Instrument (if applicable).
• Check the Remedy work orders and Execute The Maintenance Plan if applicable.
• At luch time execute the EMMI SUSI SOFI Daily Bias defined by the Calibration Plan.
• After lunch (13:30), assist to the coordination meeting.
• Execute the Startup Checklist with the help of the Start up Appendix.
• Restart fitslist if not already done in Startup
• At evening, refill the CCD Dewars (only EMMI).
• Verify humidifiers: get distillated water if necessary.
• Verify that building has been cleaned properly.
• If the Night Operator did not arrived to the Telescope when leaving at evening,
  • STOP TCS
  • press the Interlock #6 in the Control Room.
