I can not quantify the effect, but with Michael we made a test a long
time ago with the 'naked' adaptor on the observing floor looking through
the open dome onto the sky: wet-cleaning the "clean-looking"
dichroic made a real difference in the noise level of "chopped"
images (of course there was no chopper connected, we just subtracted
groupes of frames);
