 Calibration of the Focus Pyramid

The calibration of the focus pyramid should be done during a clear night with stable seeing, every three months. The calibration is done in the large field and with the Ks filter.

  • Find an isolated star with a magnitude between 12 and 13.
  • Run the template SOFI_img_tec_FocusWedgeCalibration.obd from the directory /data/SOFI/SYSTEM/COMMON/OBS/CALIB. This template produces a file called SOFI_img_cal_FocusWedgeCalibration.dat.
