TIMMI2 :Firts Light at the telescope

First astronomical tests of Timmi2 at the ESO La Silla 3.6m telescope took place between October 6th and 12th, 2000, with the engineering grade array. 
The first star pointed was immediately detected on October 7th at 05:40 am (Chilean time).

The expected sensitivity of the instrument has been confirmed. Flexure tests also proved its stability and very good image quality.
