The Danish 1.5 telescope has been a regular use since November 1979. The Telescope is owned by the University of Copenhagen .

The telescope has on off-axis mount and the optics follows a Richtey-Chretien design shown schematecally in Fig 1. The telescope is driven by the ESO developed TCS system.
