There are two similar units, one with the Cassegrain - Secundary - Mirror, the other suppose to work with the Coude - Secundary - Mirror. These two units are identically apart of the mirror, its cell and the height of the spacer behind the cell.
Between the tubular structure of the unit and the spacer behind the mirror cell are two remote controled aligment drives wich allow to tilt the mirror surface into any required direction.
The whole subassembly consisting of mirror cell, spacer alignment drives which allow to tilt the main mirror surface into any required direction.
The whole subassembly consisting of mirror cell, spacer alignment drives and inner tubular structure. Its position is remotely controled by the focus drive. The motorized fixation of the unit to telescope tube is done with the lock drive.
Because a lot of problem detected in the last 30 years today we are involve in the Top - End Overhaul, that consist in the modification of the Coude - Secondary - Mirror no longer in use in a new Cassegrain - Secondary - Mirror.
Some papers are prepared to the achievement of this project.
