Dear Observers:

The pointing can be bad for targets >=20 deg and losses of observing time can occur for targets at these positions (due to pointing pblms and interlocks). VAs who have a large number of targets at >20 deg are advised to allocate these into 1 observing night and to request a special telescope balance for these positions (SciOps should be informed about this about 1 week in advance (mail to be sent at lasilla @ eso.org). The telescope balance cannot be changed during the night, thus the re- balancing only makes sense if the number of targets >20 deg fill 1 night.
