CCD Page Update Instructions

Note: These instructions are for 2p2 Team operations, and are likely of no interest to anyone else!

The procedure for updating the CCD pages is very simple. Below I provide step-by-step instructions.

Run the *standard* test (MIDAS procedure name CCD_Standard_test.prg). Instructions for running the tests are available for CCD 02 (DFOSC), CCD 38 (B&C), CCD 39 (B&C), CCD 60 (FEROS), Daily Health Check WFI CCD and WFI CCDs.
The standard test will have generated numerous files. Only some of these files are needed to update the web page, and these can be transfered by typing:
to_epu CCD_Number yymmdd epu_password
Where CCD_Number is the two digit number assigned to the CCD, yymmdd is the year, month, and date the test was run and epu_password is the password on epu (ask the team coordinator if you are unsure of this).
Telnet to epu and login as t2p2web.
NEVER DELETE ANY FILES ON EPU! If there is a problem with diskspace, contact sys admin.
On epu, issue the command:
update XX
where XX is the identity of the CCD. To get a list of currently supported CCDs, simply type update and hit return. You will see a data file appear on the screen. Check that the most recent entry has been added, and the values look reasonable. Please note that there is no problem in executing the update command for any CCD again as it will just take the last data and re-generate the page as it already is. The script will work for a couple of minutes, and finally produce an updated page. Please load the page into a browser to ensure all has worked.
