Action : The last azimuth motor should be exchanged with the spare and maintained. One night required. Action Log : 10/10/02 2:47:32 PM gandreon First technical time is in December. 12/5/02 11:28:14 AM gihle The pending azimuth motor was finished and the altitude one was also mounted. Tests were performed resulting in an accepted motor. 12/19/02 3:59:32 PM gandreon To be rescheduled when also a second night would be available as a precaution. 1/9/03 2:13:41 PM gandreon Deadline changed to available test time. 1/24/03 10:20:38 AM gihle The motor was changed and the measured results were: Backlash : 0.2mm Max. difference in contact parallelism between pinion and gear wheel 0,005 mm Detailed information in the maintenance log. Action : It should be replaced during a SOFI oberving period. Action Log : 11/21/02 2:54:07 PM gandreon Waiting for an indium seal that will be provided by Garching. 12/19/02 4:00:26 PM gandreon To be checked with Armin. 1/30/03 2:24:41 PM gandreon The work is much more serious than thought. If it is really the metioned indium ring the entire dewar has to be dismounted and this operation has never been performed at LSO. Therefore, during next SOFI run in February PSA will perform the leak test in the lab. If the leak is confirmed, during the following, longer SOFI run in March the dewar will be refurbished with the help of an expert from Garching, already requested. My suggestion is to use SMB as this can be used on all Win32 machines without additional software. cheers>
