The Sphere's exit port is placed at the front focus of the relay system which images it at F/8 on the ADONIS first (or entrance) focal plane (F1).The image size here is ~10mm diam. producing an~50mm spot of flat light at the ADONIS F/45 imaging focus. Between the lenses an apropiate (in diameter and position) circular aperture is placed so as to simulate the 3.6 tel. beam (without central obstruction); i.e. the relay unit's exit pupil is a virtual image of diam. 1400mm located 11270mm behind the backfocal plane. -An anodized Al tube in which the optical components are mounted, placed at 130mm above the ADONIS bench surface supported by a pedestall with X-Y-Z adjustments plus Rotation & Tilt. Also the Integ. Sphere's exit port was modified to connect it to the mentioned tube. The system has been aligned and has operated succesfully for the last runs in calibrating the Fabry-Perot etalons and the GRAF spectrograph (only that it was working with a borrowed Integrating Sphere).
